What is the Nail Trainer?

The Nail Trainer is a direct replacement for the live model used by trainee Nail Technicians when they are learning.

Why do you need it?
It's a sad fact, but 95% of student Nail technicians give up after attending a nail course, because they simply cannot get the practice they need. They can't find enough willing models to sit patiently while a novice attempts to create a set of nails. It may take hours and the models nails stand a good chance of being damaged in the process. The Nail Trainer won't get impatient, will come back tomorrow, won't intimidate or distract you and doesn’t mind if you're clumsy.

How does it work?

The hand is connected to a flexible arm, which you clamp to the edge of your work bench. You simply position the hand in front of you, like a live models hand.

Nail Shapes.
People have different shapes and sizes of nail, and so does the Nail Trainer:

Large, easy to work nail Long free edge. Use on extended for Airbrush practice.
Medium size, easy nail Nice, rounded nail. Need little preparation to take a tip
Tiny 'nail biters' nail Some one has chewed this nail right back, Its real!
Large, square, thumb nail This is a big nail. Used mostly on the thumb.
Maintenance nail This has a regrouth are at the cuticle, so you can practice back fills.

The nails click into the front of the finger tip to give a big free edge or slide back to mimic a nail-biter’s nail. You click them down further to form deeper nail walls.

Building nail extensions.

  1. You build your nail extensions (enhancements) on the Nail Trainer nails in exactly the same way as when working on a client’s nails.

  2. Then you simply un-clip your
    completed work.

  3. Clip in a new nail, and start again.

No 8 nail - The 'Nail biters' nail. It's tricky to work on, with a small adhesive area. You will have to use small extensions, a tiny ball of product and be very careful when blending.
No 9 nail - Large square nail, for use mostly on the thumb. You'll get to use the large tips on this one. The big area needs lots of product.
No 13 nail - Nice medium size, well rounded nail. Good for practicing gluing extensions, as it needs very little preparation.
No 18 nail - Maintenance nail flattish C curve with re-growth area, designed to help you practice back fills.
